Good to know
This fantastic house in Cypress was built for fun and sits on 2 spacious acres. It has a lazy river pool with a swim up bar that seats 4, putting green, poker room, jacuzzi, large covered patio and lots of twinkling lights for evening entertaining. Please note that we have a 2 night minimum stay. A pond stocked with Bass and catfish with a covered fishing pier is the perfect spot to go fishing! We provide some fishing gear but you should bring your own if you are a serious fisherman! The pond and the white house at the end of the pier also provides a picture perfect spot for proposals and small celebrations. There is a covered outdoor kitchen area perfect for grilling and entertaining and we have a smoker. You will find all the BBQ utensils you need as well as plenty of plasticware since glass is not allowed by the pool. The Retreat offers 3 spacious bedrooms with a mix of sleeping arrangements to accommodate all guests. A huge Master Suite with a King bed as well as a Twin DayBed with a ginormous bathroom with step in shower and jetted tub. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and the third bedroom has two bunks (Twin over Full Size mattresses). The second and third bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom (each have a private toilet) that shares a Shower/Tub combination. With amenities like AC, WiFi, Smart TVs in each room and a washing machine & dryer, your stay will be comfortable and convenient. The kitchen is ready for a full gourmet meal with every utensil and small appliance you could want. We include an air fryer, counter top citrus squeezer, Ninja Smoothie blender, waffle maker, Keurig, Instapot, rice cooker, tea kettle, Crockpot and even a Ninja Creamie to make ice cream to name a few. We provide place settings, placemats and utensils for 10 including child friendly plastic plates/cups. Reminder that glass is strictly prohibited in the outdoor area (especially by the pool) we provide plastic ware so that you can enjoy your beverages outside. You will also find basic spices, cooking essentials, paper goods plus we always replenish our pots, pans and bakeware to ensure a great cooking experience. We love our littles so we provide a high chair as well as a pack-n-play. We strongly suggest you bring floaties and/or life jackets for the little as well as anyone that is not a strong swimmer. With the pond and the pool readily accessible, the safety of our guests is our primary concern. The decor is “Texas Farmhouse” and you will love looking at all the antique signs and collectibles scattered throughout the home. All new linens in October 2024 that include thick 100% Turkish cotton towels and 800 thread count sheets as well as plenty of beach towels. We include luxurious toiletries like Bliss Body Butter and Bliss Body Wash, Milk & Honey hand soap, Nest candles, blow dryers and ironing board and iron! The backyard is truly a resort and we provide lots of areas to lounge and relax including outdoor umbrella for shade and a wonderful firepit for S’mores on a cool evening. A larger firepit is also available at the back acre of the property for larger bonfires. We have a small library of books that we share with our guests and we ask that you keep the variety growing. Our guests are free to take a book but be sure to leave a book that you enjoy as well for future guests to enjoy. This includes kids books for those rainy afternoons. We also provide TONS of jigzaw puzzles and board games. There is plenty of private parking on the property both in the circular drive as well as through the gate that is marked “Parking” on the right side of the house. Our goal is to provide all of our guests an unforgettable experience at the Lazy River Retreat so we are continuously adding and updating our place. We are managed by two sisters, not some big vacation rental company, so you will get the VIP treatment with questions or issues resolved immediately. We do have a large Party Barn adjacent to this property that is available for events at additional costs. The Party barn rental includes tables and chairs. Contact us for more information. DISCLAIMER: Our pool is amazing and a wonderful aspect of the property. However, the home is located in Houston where weather can be crazy. We do our absolute best to keep the pool in pristine condition, but when it rains, hails, sleets, freezes, etc. it is impossible to control a 70,000 pool. We realize that most renters are hosting family and friends and we want to ensure the best possible experience but ask that you keep in mind that Texas weather can wreak havoc on all of our plans. If weather affects the temperature or appearance of the pool, we ask for patience while we use every imagineable treatment possible but we will not be issuing any refunds due to Mother Nature. The pool is not heated. However, if you choose to request it to be heated, you will need to pay $500 for the first 2 days then $250 per day after that. We do not guarantee a specific temperature and will not refund the heating fee if it rains or weather affects the ability of the heater to keep the pool warm (snow, downpour, hail will throw off the temperature no matter what we do).
Other Details to Note
This property is loads of fun and we want our guests to enjoy every minute they are here. But we ask everyone to be overly vigilant because there is a pool and a pond and we want our guests to be safe. We suggest that you bring life preservers for the littles in your family or anyone that isn’t comfortable with their swimming skills. ***We absolutely prohibit glass anywhere outside of the house since so many guests run around barefoot on the property. Parking on the street is also prohibited and cars will be towed at the owner’s expense. DJs and amplified sound is not permitted. Quiet hours enforced after 10pm.*** We love our furry pets but unfortunately in order to keep the property allergen free, we can not accept pets. All of our mattress covers and pillow covers are anti-allergenic and we pride ourselves in our cleaning regiment. DISCLAIMER: Our pool is amazing and a wonderful aspect of the property.
